Lake Worth, FL -- Women's Basketball starts 2020 off with two straight wins, which included a big win over conference-rival Indian River to open Southern Conference play, 72-64.
Against Indian River, the team was largely dominant, but put them away with a brillliant 4th quarter, which saw the team outscore the opposition 16-9. The starters Caleese Ramirez, Alma Danielsson, Izzy Allen, Amaya Small, and Maria Benitez-Zayas all scored double-figures. Ramirez led the team with 18 points and 8 rebounds, falling just 2 rebounds shy of a double-double. Danielsson and Ramirez combined to shoot over 50% from beyond the 3-point line.
The team remains undefeated in conference play.
Playing in the 2nd game of their back-to-back, the Panthers took on Florida National JV.
