PBSC Women's Basketball continued their hot start to the year 2020, defeating Miami-Dade College 85-66 Wednesday afternoon. The win extended the Panthers winning streak to six games.
Alma Danielsson had eight rebounds and a season-high 20 points for the Panthers. Izzy Allen added 19 points—Allen shot 6-10 from the field. Caleese Ramirez scored 13 points off the bench.
The Panthers totaled 10 3-pointers from the game while shooting almost 50 percent from 2-point range. They were 9-17 from the field in the 2nd quarter to take a 47-37 halftime lead. PBSC blocked nine shots and recorded 17 assists.
With Wednesday's win, the Panthers are now 4-0 in conference play. They are in first place in the Southern Conference.
Palm Beach State will face Indian River State College for the second time Saturday at 2 p.m. In their first matchup, the Panthers defeated the Pioneers 72-64 in Fort Pierce.
