Women’s golf kicks off Spring schedule
Coming off a strong finish to the Fall schedule, the Panthers Women's Golf team has kept that momentum going in the Spring. When the Panthers last took the course in 2024, they were winning the Jefferson State Invitational in October.
The Spring schedule saw the Panthers travel a few hours north and participate in the Babs Steffens Invitational hosted by Stetson University. The Panthers finished 13th, while beating 2 NCAA Division I teams in the process. Sophomore Liv Romer helped pace the Panthers as she finished 27th in an 86-person field.
The end of spring break saw the Panthers stay in Palm Beach County and play in the Kona Ice Keiser Kup. Liv Romer once again led the Panthers. Liv started the 3rd and final round 3 shots back of the leader. Liv shot well enough to end up finishing 2nd, one shot back of Sophia Sindersberger of Keiser University. As a team, the Panthers finished in 4th, beating 2 NAIA schools.
The following week, the Panthers were right back on the golf course, this time participating in the 2025 Barry Invitational. Liv picked up right where she left off at the Keiser Kup, finishing 6th in a 55-person field.
Liv has committed to continue her golf and academic career at NCAA Division I Southern Miss University in Hattiesburg, MS.
The Panthers women's golf team plays at the Georgia State Invitational March 24-25 in their final tune-up before the NJCAA Southeast District Championship April 13-16.
