Danckwerth Finishes 9th, Team 8th at NJCAA Nationals
Palm Beach State College wrapped up competition at the Oakwood Country Club event with an eighth-place finish against a nationally competitive field featuring top-ranked NJCAA programs. The Panthers posted a four-round total of 139-over-par, highlighted by steady play throughout the tournament and strong individual efforts from the lineup.
Palm Beach State competed against eight nationally ranked programs during the event, providing valuable experience against some of the top teams in junior college golf.
Leading the way for the Panthers was Jessica Danckwerth, who finished tied for ninth overall with a tournament score of 23-over-par. Danckwerth closed the event with one of her strongest rounds, carding a 73 in the final round after shooting two-under on the front nine. Danckwerth's 9th place finish earned her NJCAA DI 2nd-Team All-American honors. Angelina Guertin also delivered a solid performance, finishing tied for 23rd at 32-over-par and recording a 76 in the final round.
Ida Nesheim Hansen finished tied for 37th at 38-over-par, while Chloe Blanc placed tied for 48th overall at 48-over-par, . Grace Canning rounded out the Palm Beach State lineup, finishing 69th overall.
The event gave the Panthers an opportunity to compete against elite national competition as the program continues building momentum heading into the offseason. Palm Beach State showed resilience over the four rounds and gained valuable tournament experience against one of the strongest fields on the schedule.
